We are so thrilled to announce that we been awarded both a Best in Business Award and a Best Places to Work award from the Boston Globe. We’re really proud of the team and momentum we’re building. In light of the awards, we figured now might be a good time to pick up our heads and tell you what we’re all about for those thinking about maybe joining our growing team.
Our mission at The Wanderlust Group is simple. We believe that the world would be a better place if people spent more time outdoors, connected with nature and each other. Research backs that up. Spending time outside has been connected to a greater commitment to the environment, better mental health and stronger physical health. We build technology that connects adventurers to destinations and that helps those same destinations grow.
Dockwa is a two sided marketplace and technology platform that helps hundreds of thousands of boaters find marinas in which to stay, fuel up, or store their boats for the long haul.
Marinas.com is a directory and review site filled with boating destinations, anchorages, marinas, yacht clubs, service yards and more. It’s also a destination for marina operators to find training and resources.
Campouts is our next expansion, a marketplace to help campers find and book campgrounds and help those campgrounds better find and serve campers.
The marine industry is one of the last to truly digitize. When you digitize an industry for the first time something amazing happens: The barriers to participation fall, operations get streamlined, and growth for the entire industry becomes demystified. We are working to become the touchless wallet of the boater, The operating system of the marina, the datasource of the industry and the marketplace of countless others. That is our opportunity here.
In perspectives, talents and backgrounds, in race, gender, and identity, diversity will make our company, product and community stronger. We have work to do to get closer to our aspirations here, but we are committed to expanding diversity, enabling inclusivity and ensuring equitableness for all at The Wanderlust Group.
Regular time away from work is important. We have no caps to our vacation time, we just ask that you act responsibly with your work and communicate with your team in taking it.
We are all wanderers, so you can work from anywhere in the United States (where we’re legally able to hire).
We believe in supporting responsible ways to experience the outdoors. We try to be both conscious of our impact on the environment and the ways in which we can protect it. We invest in environmental nonprofits and encourage our audience through our content to understand their impact on the climate and nature around them.
And now, thanks to Best in Biz and The Boston Globe, we are award-winning! If this sounds like a place you could see yourself working, if you’re intrigued by what we’re working to build and believe you can be a driving part of getting there, take a look at the open roles below. We’d love to talk.
This is an incredibly exciting time to be part of The Wanderlust Group and the outdoor industries we serve. We are so grateful for the recognition received recently and hopeful that some of you may join us here sometime soon!
